Covid -19 Update

We are delighted that, after the months of lockdown that we have all endured, you are now considering a visit to the stunning Highlands of Scotland. We are even more delighted that you are considering visiting us at the Ardross Glencairn Guesthouse. The Highlands has some of the most stunning scenery in the world; wide open spaces, beautiful nature all around us and the warmest of welcomes.

In accordance with the current Government Guidelines, we have made some changes to parts of your stay to ensure yours and staff safety during this time.

Your Arrival

We have installed safety screens at reception for check in and have marked out a safe distance between each guest at check in. We are asking that everyone provide card details so that payment can be taken the day before arrival to allow us to provide a contactless check in service for everyone.

Sealed Hotel Rooms

We have taken every measure to ensure the cleanliness of each room. Each room will be thoroughly disinfected, and all touch point items disinfected using industry-leading cleaning products and procedures. Finally, your room will be sealed, so you have the comfort of knowing that no-one has entered the room after it has been cleaned.
During your stay, no one will enter your room as we will be suspending any housekeeping services during your stay until further notice. Therefore, if you are staying with us for more than one night any extra items required can be requested at reception.
We have removed certain items from every room to reduce touch points. Many items are available at reception on request.

Breakfast

We have made a temporary change to our dining room to ensure we are providing the highest standard of health and safety to all guests and staff. Due to the fact that self-service is not allowed during this time, we have suspended our self-service buffet. We have set up a station where all food will be served and can then be taken back to your table. We have also removed some tables to ensure that distancing rules are adhered to in the dining room as well. Hand sanitiser is in place at the entrance and exit of the dining room and protective screens are also in place to protect both guests and staff. We are still offering a good selection of cooked and continental options to ensure you have an excellent start to your day. Our current breakfast options are as below:

• Sausage, bacon, fried egg, beans and hot Scott’s porridge oats.
• Selection of cereals, banana, fruit juices, ham, cheese, croissants and pancackes.
• Breakfast tea, a selection of fruit teas and coffee.
• White and wholemeal bread is available for toasting along with butter, sunflower spread and a selection of jams and marmalade to compliment.

Contactless Check Out

We have a check out box located at reception where keys can be placed on check out. Currently, we are asking all guests to check out by 10am to allow our housekeeping to have the longest time possible cleaning the room before the next guest we are due to welcome arrives.
